Service zones: coverage areas and zone-based assignment

Draw the areas you serve. Jobs outside active zones are refused, zone-owner and round-robin rules use them, and the Zone Breakdown report counts by zone.

  1. Open Setup → Service Zones.
  2. Draw a Polygon, Rectangle or Circle on the map, give it a Zone name and a Color, and leave Zone active on.
  3. Save, and repeat for each area you serve.

Once any zone is active, a job whose address falls outside every active zone is refused with "Address is outside all active service zones", in the dashboard and on intake forms alike. If you'd rather take any address, don't activate zones.

  • The Zone owner assignment rule gives each zone's jobs to the technician who owns it, and Round-robin can rotate through a roster per zone. See Assignment rules.
  • Money → Reports → Zone Breakdown shows jobs and revenue per zone.
