What your customers receive and see
A text or email per milestone, and a live tracking page that needs no app or account.

Customers get a message when a job is booked, when the technician is on the way, if the technician is running late, and when the technician arrives. Messages go by SMS, email, or both, depending on what you turned on in Setup → Notifications.
The on-the-way message carries a link that opens a live tracking page in the customer's browser. It shows the technician on the way, the ETA, and buttons to text or call them. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
The page only ever shows the technician's progress toward that customer's own appointment, and only while the technician is travelling to it. Once the technician arrives, the page confirms the arrival and stops showing location.
Every job has its own link, so a customer never sees another customer's address, even when one technician is doing several jobs on the same street. After the job is complete the same link shows "Job complete", a chance to rate the visit, the service record (service, scheduled and completed times, time on site, address), photos, the sign-off and the job's timeline; there's no map. If a job is cancelled, the page says so.
