SMS consent and Canadian CASL rules
Appointment updates are transactional messages about a service the customer booked; keep promotions in a separate, opted-in channel.

ArrivePing sends appointment notifications (booked, on the way, running late, arrived) about a service the customer asked for. You collect the customer's mobile number and their consent to appointment updates when you book the job, and you keep any promotional messaging in a separate, opted-in channel.
Customers can reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of texts; the job itself is unaffected and you can switch them to email. For your own obligations under CASL in Canada or the TCPA in the United States, get advice specific to your business.
