How Much Does Field Service Software Cost? Prices for a 4-, 12- and 28-Person Team
What field service software costs in 2026: list prices for 4-, 12- and 28-person teams, who counts as a user, GPS add-ons and the fees plan prices leave out.

Entry-level field service software plans list at $29 to $245 a month, according to Capterra's 2026 guide to eight vendor-confirmed platforms (Capterra, 2026). That entry price is rarely what you pay. The real bill depends on three things the headline price hides: who the vendor counts as a user, whether the tracking you want is an add-on, and whether you commit for a year. At list prices on October 18, 2026, a 12-person team with 2 office staff and 10 technicians pays between $245 and $669 a month on the published plans we checked.
This guide prices three real team sizes on the vendors' own pricing pages, shows which pricing model is cheapest at each size, and lists the costs that only appear after you sign. It is written for owners and office managers of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, delivery and trade crews with roughly 3 to 30 people.
What does field service software cost per month?
Most vendors publish an entry price; some of the best-known do not publish any price at all.
- Published prices. Jobber's Core plan is $49 a month for 1 user with no commitment (Jobber). Housecall Pro's Basic plan is $79 a month billed monthly, or $59 a month billed annually, for 1 user (Housecall Pro). Service Fusion's Starter plan is $245 a month billed monthly, with unlimited users (Service Fusion). ArrivePing starts at $49 a month for one dispatcher and two drivers (ArrivePing).
- No published price. ServiceTitan's pricing page shows "Request Pricing" for each of its three packages and describes "per-technician pricing" (ServiceTitan). Workiz's plans also show "Request pricing" (Workiz).
- Price is a common complaint even among well-rated tools. In Capterra's 2026 guide, "nearly one in six verified reviews (16.8%)" named price, cost or fees as a drawback, although every product in it rated above 4.0 (Capterra, 2026).
Capterra groups the market into three pricing models: a flat subscription, a price per user, and usage-based pricing tied to appointment volume (Capterra, 2026). Per-technician pricing (ServiceTitan) and graduated per-driver pricing (ArrivePing) are variations on the per-user idea. Which one is cheapest depends almost entirely on how many people you have, and on which of them count.
Do office staff count as users?
At most of the vendors we checked, yes. It is an easy line to miss on a quote, because a dispatcher, an office manager and the owner who checks the board at night are all people who log in.

How each vendor's public pages define who you pay for:
- Jobber: a user is "anyone who accesses your account at the office or in the field to view or manage the team's schedule," and extra users cost $29 a month each (Jobber).
- Housecall Pro: the pricing page asks "How many on your team will use Housecall Pro?" Essentials includes 5 users; Max includes 8, with "$35/mo per additional user" (Housecall Pro).
- ServiceTitan: priced per technician, on request (ServiceTitan).
- Service Fusion: "Unlimited Users" on every plan (Service Fusion).
- ArrivePing: every plan includes one dispatcher license, and field licenses are priced on a graduated scale. A second dispatcher or a manager is a license priced exactly like a driver (ArrivePing).
For a team of 2 office staff and 10 technicians, that means a per-user plan bills 12 people, ArrivePing bills 11 licenses, and a flat plan bills one price however many log in.
What does a 4-, 12- and 28-person team pay?
These are the monthly list prices on each vendor's public pricing page for three team sizes. They are month-to-month prices in U.S. dollars, before tax, introductory promotions and payment fees, checked October 18, 2026. The vehicle GPS line assumes one van per technician.
| Monthly list price | 4 people (1 office, 3 field) | 12 people (2 office, 10 field) | 28 people (3 office, 25 field) |
|---|---|---|---|
| ArrivePing | $79 | $319 | $799 |
| Jobber Connect | $199 (5-user tier) | $357 (10-user tier $299 + 2 users at $29) | $776 (15-user tier $399 + 13 users at $29), or a custom quote |
| Housecall Pro | $189 (Essentials, 5 users) | $469 (Max, 8 users + 4 at $35) | $1,029 (Max, 8 users + 20 at $35) |
| Housecall Pro + Vehicle GPS ($20 a van) | $249 | $669 | $1,529 |
| Service Fusion Starter (unlimited users) | $245 | $245 | $245 |
| ServiceTitan, Workiz | Not published | Not published | Not published |

Read the table as a starting point, not a verdict. Each vendor's tiers unlock different features, and Service Fusion sells GPS fleet tracking as an add-on whose price is not listed. Compare the features you will use, then compare the price for your headcount.
Which pricing model is cheapest for your team?
| Pricing model | Who you pay for | Usually cheapest for | Watch for | Example on a public page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Per user, sold in tiers | Everyone who logs in, office and field | Teams that land exactly on a tier size | Jumps to the next tier; office staff count | Jobber, Housecall Pro |
| Per technician | Technicians (how office users are priced isn't published) | Office-heavy teams, if office users aren't charged | No public price; ask how office users are priced | ServiceTitan |
| Flat, unlimited users | One price for the account | Crews of about 10 or more | Higher entry price; add-ons priced separately | Service Fusion |
| Graduated per driver | Field staff, plus office users after the first | Small and growing crews | Cost still rises with each driver; no annual discount | ArrivePing |
In the price table, per-person pricing is cheapest for the 4-person team, and the flat plan is cheapest for the 12- and 28-person teams. Against ArrivePing, the crossover comes early: at list, Service Fusion's $245 Starter costs less from 9 licenses ($259 on ArrivePing). Where the crossover falls depends on the plans you compare, so do the arithmetic at your own size, today and in 12 months.
What costs don't show on the plan price?
The subscription is the number on the pricing page. These are the costs that arrive with it.

- Tracking hardware, per vehicle. Housecall Pro's Vehicle GPS Tracking is "a paid add-on at $20 per vehicle per month," and its feature page says that when a tech starts driving, the customer gets an on-my-way text with a live map link (Housecall Pro). Its Essentials plan also includes employee GPS that locates techs "using their mobile phone's GPS, no hardware required" (Housecall Pro), shown to your team on the map in the web portal (Housecall Pro Help Center). Jobber records GPS waypoints at set points in a team member's day, such as clocking in and out, and gives you a live map "when you install FleetSharp tracking devices in your vehicles" (Jobber); "pricing for these devices varies based on your contract with FleetSharp" (Jobber Help Center). For when a tracker in the van is worth it, see Phone vs. vehicle GPS tracking.
- Add-ons. Jobber lists its Marketing Suite at $99 a month, an AI Receptionist at $29 a month and Pipeline at $49 a month (Jobber). Housecall Pro's dashcam package is $49 per device per month (Housecall Pro).
- Payment processing. If customers pay in the app, card fees come on top. Jobber lists 2.9% + 30¢ for cards and 1% for bank (ACH) payments (Jobber).
- The commitment. Jobber says you can "save up to 25% with annual billing"; its Connect plan for 10 users is $299 a month with no commitment and $229 a month billed annually (Jobber). Service Fusion's annual price is "charged as one annual payment at sign-up" (Service Fusion). A lower monthly figure can mean a year's money up front.
- Introductory prices. Housecall Pro showed promotional prices for the first one to three months when we checked (Housecall Pro). Budget against the list price that follows, not the promotion.
- Setup, training and data migration. Capterra's 2025 Tech Trends report, based on a survey of 3,500 software buyers, warns that beyond the license there are often extra costs "for things like user training, data migration, and premium customer support," and that small-business buyers who don't expect them "end up getting sticker shock" (Capterra, 2025).
Getting this wrong is common. In Capterra's survey of 700 U.S. software buyers (July 2023), 58% regretted at least one software purchase from the previous 12 to 18 months, and the top product-related reason was "the software being more expensive than expected (35%)." The other leading reasons were a problematic handoff between sales and implementation teams (48%) and difficulty onboarding and training new users (34%) (Capterra, 2023). For the cost of staying on paper and phone calls instead, see The 12 hidden costs of manual field service operations.
How to price-check a field service software quote this week
- Count every login. List the owner, dispatchers, office staff and every technician or driver, then add the people you expect to hire in the next 12 months.
- Ask who counts. Get in writing whether office staff, part-timers and subcontractors are users, and whether there is a minimum number of seats.
- Price the tracking you need. Decide whether you need only an office map or a live tracking link for customers, and whether either needs a device in every van.
- Get both prices. Ask for the month-to-month price and the annual price, and what you owe if you cancel partway through the term.
- Ask about one-time fees. Setup, data import, training and premium support should be quoted before you sign, not after.
- Price it at two sizes. Work out the bill at today's headcount and at your 12-month headcount, so a tier jump doesn't surprise you.
- Check payment rates. If customers will pay through the software, compare card and bank transfer rates and who keeps the margin.
How ArrivePing does this
ArrivePing is field service software made by NVC360 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It began as a tool built for a specialty subcontractor running more than 800 field technicians.
Every company gets the same $49 Starter package: one dispatcher license and two driver licenses. Drivers 3 to 29 cost $30 each and drivers from 30 on cost $25 each, and each rate applies only to the drivers in its band. A second dispatcher or a manager is a license priced like a driver, so 10 drivers with one dispatcher cost $289 a month, and adding a manager makes it $319 (pricing). There's no setup fee, no contract and no GPS hardware. Tracking comes from the technician app on the phone your team already carries, and every plan includes the customer's live tracking page with the ETA (customer notifications). The 30-day free trial includes as many users as you like; a card goes on file, but nothing is charged until day 30. If customers pay invoices by card, you connect your own Stripe account and ArrivePing takes no cut. For side-by-side details, see ArrivePing vs. Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan.
ArrivePing is not the cheapest choice for every team. At list, a flat unlimited-user plan such as Service Fusion's $245 Starter costs less from about 9 licenses, Jobber's tier-plus-extra-users price comes in below ours at 28 people, and some vendors' annual plans are lower again if you can pay a year up front; ArrivePing is billed monthly only. If you want marketing campaigns or a sales pipeline in the same platform, an all-in-one product covers more of that than ArrivePing does.
FAQ
How much does field service software cost per month?
Entry-level plans list from about $29 to $245 a month in Capterra's 2026 pricing guide. A full team costs more: at list prices in October 2026, a 12-person team with 2 office staff paid between $245 and $669 a month on the published plans we checked, before tax and payment fees.
Do office staff count as users in field service software?
Often, yes. Jobber defines a user as anyone who accesses the account at the office or in the field to view or manage the team's schedule, and Housecall Pro prices by how many people will use it. Service Fusion's plans include unlimited users, and ArrivePing includes one dispatcher license in every plan and prices each additional office user like a driver.
Is GPS tracking included in field service software?
It depends on the vendor and the kind of tracking. Some plans include phone-based tracking for the office map, while a live tracking link for customers or a device in the vehicle can be an add-on: Housecall Pro's Vehicle GPS Tracking is $20 per vehicle per month. ArrivePing includes phone-based tracking and the customer tracking page in every plan.
Is annual billing cheaper for field service software?
Usually, if you can pay up front. Jobber says annual billing saves up to 25%, Housecall Pro's Basic plan is $59 a month billed annually versus $79 monthly, and Service Fusion takes its annual price as one payment at sign-up. Check what you owe if you cancel early before committing.
How much does ArrivePing cost for 10 technicians?
$289 a month for 10 technicians and one dispatcher: the $49 Starter covers the dispatcher and two technicians, and the other eight are $30 each. A second office user, such as a dispatcher or manager, is priced like a technician, which makes it $319 a month. There is no setup fee or contract.
