How technician pay is calculated

On-site hours times the hourly rate, plus mileage, plus a flat amount per job, plus any per-unit line pay. Set rates once per technician and override per job or template.

For every completed job ArrivePing works out what the technician earned: time on site × their hourly rate, plus paid distance × their mileage rate, plus a flat amount per job, plus any per-unit pay on the job's line items. Time on site runs from arrival (the geofence or I've Arrived) to Complete Job, to the minute.

Each technician's own rates

Open People → Technicians & Managers, open the technician and set Pay rate per hour ("Used to compute tech pay from on-site time") and Mileage pay rate (leave 0 to not pay mileage). The hourly rate can also come in from your spreadsheet when you import.

Per job or per template

The job form and each template under Catalog & Forms → Job Templates (its Pricing & pay tab) have a Technician pay block, marked internal and never shown to the customer. Set Hourly (time on site), Mileage and Flat per job; a blank field means the technician's own rate. Unpaid distance per job lets you leave the first few kilometres unpaid. Reset to each technician's own rates clears the overrides.

Technicians see their running total in the app's Earnings tab, with "How your pay is calculated" and a breakdown by company if they work for more than one. The office turns the numbers into a pay run with Generate technician payouts.
